Metal forming in generalMetalformingingeneral

The forming of wire can be carried out hot or cold. This is called cold forming or hot forming accordingly.

A (fixed) die and a (mobile) punch are used to produce a cold formed part. In addition, a blade is required to shear off the wire section to be formed.

Complex parts, especially hollow parts, are produced on double-blow, triple-blow and multi-stage presses. The forming takes place with up to six dies and stamps. The forming occurs not only on the stamp side, but also on the die side, as the material flows into the die. In this way, complicated geometries can also be produced.

This process can run with up to several hundred parts per minute.
